Care & Support Professionals

Our Care & Support Professionals deliver high quality support to individuals in the individuals' homes.  All positions, except PRN, are considered full time.  This means that all full time employees are eligible for employment benefits.  Our schedule format is designed to support each team member having a healthy work and life rhythm.  

  

Job Summary:

The Care & Support Professional plays a vital role in providing compassionate, person-centered care to individuals supported by Bethel Serenity Care. This position is responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining a clean and safe home environment, assisting with meal preparation, and providing transportation for community outings. Additionally, Care & Support Professionals provide medication assistance, health and hygiene support, and document service delivery in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that persons supported are treated with dignity, respect, and have the opportunity to live fulfilling, independent lives.


  Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or      training in healthcare, human services, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in home healthcare, caregiving, or support services is      preferred but not required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, the elderly, or those with chronic health conditions is beneficial.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Ability to assist with personal care tasks, meal preparation, and health-related needs.
    • Knowledge of medications, medication administration, and basic health and safety procedures.
    • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with persons supported, families, and the care team.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet the person’s needs.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Compassionate, patient, and understanding attitude toward the individuals supported.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained      within the first 30 days of employment. Medication administration training is required or must be completed as part of the onboarding process.

All applicants MUST have a valid driver's license and pass a background screening.


Pay Rate: up to $15.68/hr.

  • Sun-Wed 3p-11p
  • Sun-Wed 11p-7a
  • Thurs-Sat  7a-7p
  • Thurs-Sat  7p-7a
  • PRN 

Home Managers

Our Home Managers deliver high quality leadership to each site as well as support to individuals in the individuals' homes. Home Managers ensure the WOW framework is fully implemented at their assigned site.   

  

Job Summary:

The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a home where individuals receive residential services. This includes ensuring that the home is clean, well-maintained, and safe, while also supporting the person served in achieving their goals. The House Manager will play a key role in coordinating care and support services, supervising staff, scheduling medical appointments, managing personal funds, and developing an activities calendar that is person-centered and based on the desires of the individual being supported. The House Manager also ensures that service delivery is documented accurately and that staff comply with training requirements.

  

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or      certification in healthcare, human services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in home      healthcare, residential care, or a similar field is required. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, elderly care, or mental health issues is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff members.
    • Knowledge of home healthcare regulations and best practices.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Basic financial management skills, particularly related to personal funds and budgeting.
    • Ability to develop and implement person-centered plans and activities.
    • Competence in using electronic health record systems and other care-related software.
